Why did you choose Loughtec as your IT infrastructure provider?
We initially worked with Loughtec when they were starting their business and as a result engaged them to review our IT systems.
What were your main concerns when choosing an IT infrastructure provider?
Our main concerns were provision of services to ensure the security and reliability of our IT infrastructure at a competitive price. We also needed to be sure that the provider was completely dependable with regard to support.
How important are the services provided by Loughtec?
The services are vital to the day to day operation of the business and the future growth and development of the centre.
What were the challenges for the company when changing to ultra-fast broadband?
The main challenge was choosing a provider that could supply the current and future needs of the company as we develop a further extension with the construction of the Innovation Growth Centre. The challenge was to ensure that our current needs were addressed and that we had the scale and scope to offer broadband services to a whole new range of customers.
We also had the challenge of implementing the solution and working with the main provider in partnership with Loughtec to ensure a smooth transition without any interruption of services to clients.
How long between the moment this was installed and it started to work?
We kept the old system running during the two week transition period when Loughtec was installing the new system. This approach meant that our existing customers had a seamless transition from the old system to the new without any interruption in service.
What were the outcomes of the new ultra-fast bandwidth?
From a marketing point of view, we’ve been able to promote the new service on our website, Facebook and Twitter. As a result we have been able to provide a better service to our existing tenants and have attracted new enquiries from potential new tenants. Even at this early stage we have one new tenant directly as a result of increasing to ultra-fast broadband.
What are your views on the services provided by Loughtec?
Loughtec have provided us with an excellent service and have proved themselves to be reliable in addressing any issues that arise. They have the skills and experience needed to provide for our current and future development from an IT infrastructure point of view.
What do they do well? What do you like about them?
Loughtec provides a reliable and responsive service and are easy to communicate with when problems arise.
What could they do better?
We have been more than happy with the service provided to date.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Loughtec to another company.
